Kaibigan ng Lahaina Celebrates One Year

On April 21, 2025, Kaibigan ng Lahaina proudly celebrated its first anniversary with a festive Terno Ball fundraiser, held to support the launch of the organization’s youth programs this summer. The elegant evening took place at Fond Maui Restaurant in Napili, where both public and private partners gathered in support of KNL’s mission.
Guests were treated to a flavorful menu of traditional and modern Filipino cuisine, thoughtfully curated by Chef Jojo Vasquez and Chef Motley Adovas of Merienda, and served with excellence by the team at Fond Maui. Live music by Mike Cappal of Salt & Light Entertainment set the tone for the evening, while inspiring speeches were delivered by KNL Board President Nestor Ugale Jr. and Executive Director Eric Arquero.
The venue was beautifully adorned with tablescapes featuring banana leaves, fresh mangoes, papayas, rambutan, and tropical flowers — a vibrant symbol of the fruitful year behind KNL. Heartfelt words of support were shared by Keanu Lau Hee of the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, Mahina Martin from the Office of the Mayor, and Kit Furukawa of the Maui Filipino Chamber of Commerce.
